At the gracious invitation of His Excellency Ambassador Mohamed Ait Ouali, Ambassador of His Majesty King Mohammed VI to the Arab Republic of Egypt, the Moroccan community residing in Egypt celebrated the 50th anniversary of the glorious Green March in a joyful national evening hosted in Cairo, with a strong presence of community members and the Moroccan Community Social League in Egypt, led by its President, Ms. Karima Ahmed Halim.
This year's celebration carries an exceptional significance: the 50th anniversary of the immortal national epic coincides with the Moroccan people's celebrations of the international recognition of the Moroccan Sahara — the historic culmination of a long path of wise diplomacy under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI.
The evening was steeped in a moving patriotic atmosphere: national flags were raised and guests shone in authentic Moroccan attire, while His Excellency the Ambassador welcomed community members personally, reaffirming the Embassy's constant commitment to serving Moroccans in Egypt.
The League's President and members expressed their deep gratitude to His Excellency the Ambassador for this generous invitation, reaffirming the Moroccan community's unwavering unity behind His Majesty's wise leadership and its steadfast support for the Kingdom's territorial integrity.
Attendees also expressed their profound appreciation to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt, its leadership under His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and its people, for the generous hospitality and genuine embrace the Moroccan community enjoys in Egypt.
