National Association of Lawyers in Morocco
On 9 August 2022, the Moroccan Community Social League in Egypt, represented by its president Ms. Karima Halim, signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the National Association of Lawyers in Morocco, represented by its president Me. Mohamed Lahbib Bencheikh, in support of the League's human-rights field of work.
The text of the agreement is available for consultation and download in the site's document library; its clauses, as they appear in the signed document, are as follows:
1Clause One
Through this partnership, the two associations aim to strengthen the relationship between the Moroccan community residing in Egypt and its homeland Morocco, and to keep abreast of all legal developments governing the Moroccan community in Egypt.
2Clause Two
Holding bilateral meetings in the form of seminars or training and awareness sessions, and exchanging visits between the members of the two associations.
3Clause Three
The National Association of Lawyers in Morocco contributes to framing knowledge and training meetings for the members of the League residing in Egypt, presenting the laws governing the family — notably the Family Code and Law 03-02 — and spreading legal awareness within the Moroccan community in Egypt, especially among women.
4Clause Four
To achieve the above objectives, the two associations may seek partnerships with national and international institutions of shared interest, within the law and in full respect of each association's independence.
